Blink 182 made Tidal Waves last night at Pepsi Center in Denver last night with a completely sold out arena w/ A Day to Remember and All American Rejects. We had no idea we were going to the show, till we met up with some homies around 4pm for some drinks, then I get the text, “Fuck Blink tix for 40 bucks each, say it ain’t so!” How could we resist the calling from the gods known as Blink 182?! We slammed the beers and we were off to grab the nose bleed seats.
Our only goal that night was to get as close to the stage as humanly possible for Blink 182’s set, which was a bit of an issue because we picked up upper level over the floor GA tickets ($150 and up). We came up with a plan of attack and all of a sudden, we were on the floor! Now we just had to make our way through the packed crowd to get to the stage, good thing we had All American Rejects to get the crowd moving.
The crowd that came out for Blink 182 was full of every age, genre, style and culture. It was awesome seeing how much influence this band has had on all styles of music. We all grew up listening to Damn It, First Date and All the Small Things, why shouldn’t we all scream our heads off together?! It’s why we go to these shows, to get lifted off the ground, physically and mentally, your mind is interlocked in the moment. This was one of those shows that you’ll brag to your children about down the road!
