Speaker Monster – Music – Funk for the Fall…..

Darcy McGlashan, Travis Redd, Ricky Ryan, Sean Vogt make up Speaker Monster. They have been friends of mine for a while and their band has been blowing wigs back for the past couple months. They can be seen in Aspen, Snowmass, or Denver.

They say “Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, Rage Against the Machine, and Tool in a blender coming from your garage as loud as possible,” sounds like a good mix of influences. Their sound is loud and classy. They are in tune with the times we live in and also in the grimey lifestyle we all lust.

I’ve seen them many times and their energy carries off the stage like the sound they manifest. Ricky keeps them in line with the furious drums. Darcy and Travis mix the cords and Sean keeps it steady rocking. Its something I recommend to anyone that can catch them.
