Boulder goes “Yonkers” for Tyler, The Creator
The GGStaff caught that Rocky Mountain High when Tyler, The Creator announced a free show at the Fox in Boulder. As the snow was pounding down and the crowd was amped, the GGStaff was submerged in the crowd trying to attain at least 1 of the 650 golden tickets. The Boulder Riot Squad filled the streets creating a wall from the over zealous group of mostly of under aged kids. Tyler, The Creator, the front man for Oddfuture, tried his best to alleviate the crowd by adding a second free show. But just as the snow continued so did the crowd’s persistence causing arrests and the crowd to be pepper sprayed. Luckily, the GGStaff managed to swoop wristbands and we entered the venue.
Tyler, The Creator, brought the poetic justice! His set was raw, real, and energetic. He played for over an hour, cracked jokes, and interacted with the audience. His set was well worth the intenisty outside and the adventure of the day. His show in Boulder was his first show promoting his new album “Wolf”, which will be released on April 1st. Check out the rest of the dates for his tour below.
