Hemp Biofuel – The future….
We recently went to Hoodlab (3354 Larimer) in Denver to see “Hands on Hemp.” Their monthly installment of hemp topics and the future of our industries with the use of hemp. This past Sunday, Bill Althouse spoke about hemp, biofuel, cultivation, and gene selection for the public. Hoodlab is running a great series all spring and summer about Hemp and the effects on our future. “Hands on Hemp” is the gathering of the sustainable, green, and like minded for the futherment of our evolution. Hemp is the future and this weekend we learned about the aspects of fuel, it’s use, it’s testing, and the aspects in the future. You can contact Bill about hemp and his 100% biofueled limo at CannaTech. “Cannatech will be created, owned and controlled by cannabis producer members to increase the quality and profitability of cannabis production,” is what Bill asked us to promote about Cannatech.coop.
Every last Sunday of the month Hoodlab will be gathering the farmers, public, and mavens of the hemp industry. Make sure to come by and check it out this month. You’ll learn more than a thing or two…
Dankasaurous had this to say:
“I never knew that I had the ability to grow 10 acres of hemp for research registered with the Feds. Thought that was a cool fact that Colorado has already. We need research before we can figure out the future. The genes and seeds of the hemp are the most important. We have many strains that can benefit different aspects of society. Meaning that we have different seeds that can produce a better product of hemp (IE housing, fuel, foods, fibers, and filters). We don’t have any knowledge of “what” works “best” and “where” yet. The elevation and the environments play a huge part in that potential and we need to start finding out the best seeds for the best uses in the regions of Colorado. We have high desert plains to lushish midwestern farms. We have a different environment to deal with in the Rockies….and the research needs to start now. ”
You can also contact Sam Walsh on any information you need about Hemp, “Hemp Cleans”, and the hemp movement in Denver. She is our “go to” for all that is hemp…..and Hoodlab of course.
