World Down Syndrome Day
Here at the Gatsby we like to keep it one hundred and do our part. We are helping to spread the word for World Down Syndrome Day! Today we celebrate the lives, struggles, and stories of people who have Down Syndrome all over the world!
Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder where the person has an extra chromosome causing both biological and physical problems. Unfortunately, this disorder has no specific cure. That’s why it’s important to celebrate the lives of these individuals! March 21st, marking this global awareness day has been observed by the United Nations since 2012. This year’s conference, “Right To Work”, will be held in New York. To learn more about this program, to hear stories or to get involved visit http://www.worlddownsyndromeday.org. Feel free to let the Grimey Gatsby know how you got involved. One Love!
