Sub.Mission Celebrates 6 Years of Music Not Hype!
6 Years ago, Sub.Mission Dubstep threw their first show, and this weekend both Sub.Mission and founder Nicole celebrated birthdays. “We gotta show these kids how it’s done”, Denver’s godmother of Dubstep said Saturday night as the temperature and decibels rose in a North Denver warehouse.
Grimey Gatsby is proud to be the media partner of this ground-breaking electronic music production company. Sub.Mission has grown over the years, helping establish Denver on the map as the world’s 4th largest market for Dubstep. Sub.Mission throws Denver’s favorite EDM Weekly according to the Westword Best Of Denver Poll. Electronic Tuesdays are a favorite showcase of local and international talent held at Cervantes’ Other Side, featuring headliners, Sub.Mission residents and DJ and Producer battles.
Below you’ll find KBS Photography‘s Highlights of the 6 Year Show, a much anticipated throw down for the family held in the graffiti-filled Boppo! warehouse in the North of Denver. A solid 25,000 Watts of Bass Couch sound filled the space as a killer line-up helped ring in the celebration. The night featured VIVEK, Kaiju (which means “strange beast” in Japanese), a special B2B set from Soloman & Trampa, plus the debut of new residents Lotus Drops and Grimblee. The scene was enhanced by live painting by Skaadi and decor from Skaadi and D.A.S.
