Spring 420 Gear Guide

We see all types of products from the 420 industry and some of them we enjoy….others we cannot understand how they hit the production floor. This spring brings new gardens, new travels, new glass, and new reasons to enjoy the cannabis plant. We compiled a list of the brands that we are watching and working with for this spring/summer. If you are a grower, a 710 head, or just a patient…we can all learn something from one another. Follow them on instagram, Like them on facebook, check out their website and make sure to keep up with the Gatsby.

“Doit” = GLGHS Professional Organic Potting Soil + Endomaxx – Your root structure is your foundation and your roots thrive on things that we love too – Oxygen, microbiotics, and enzymes. This product takes your roots to the max and the assimilation rate is crispy clean. Premiere horticulture soil mixed with the most authentic spore count on the market make for the most bang for your buck in the root zone. The best foundation makes the best fruit. Get it in your garden today. Contact Hoodlab Colorado for your bag now!!!

OG growlites – The spectrum doesn’t get much better than Growlite OG. We had their lights on at the tents at the Cannaval. One 1,000 watt light was able to illuminate an entire tent (30’x30′) for people to walk, converse, and enjoy the parking lot at Hoodlab. And after seeing them at the Horticulture Convention in Denver, we haven’t taken our eyes off of them. Their bulbs are bright and we need it bright around here for the gardens, greenhouses, and evolution of tomorrow. Grow your own is easy with the OGs!!!

TH Seeds – Celebrating 20 years of business in 2013 is a great achievement for any company, but a seed company is something special. Adam Dunn and TH Seeds have been bringing genetics like Bubblegum, Sage, and Cold Creek Kush to the people for a long long time. With over 25 Cannabis Cups to speak of, a successful lineage that has circled the globe, and mastering the stability of the flower are all things that TH Seeds has accomplished with ease. Make sure to get your genetics now because this brand is bringing the heat.

Nogoo Non Stick – The newest edition to the 710 world, NoGoo Concentainers, are taking over the dab scene. Made of silicon and allowing the “derbs” to easily move around the container is the best attribute. The fact that they can be bounced off the floor and not open is a HUGE bonus. We watched Jonny B himself bounce them all over the Hoodlab for Cannaval. Grab them now before the distributors swallow them up.

Dab Tools – A carpenter isn’t complete without his toolbox and a dabber isn’t complete without his dab tools. These tools come in a 3 pack and offer the option to scoop, poke, or smash the wax, butter, or oil into the ever popular “DAB.” Hunt hasn’t let his “fork” out of his grasp since meeting Hap in Denver. You need a set or you are just plain missing out. We have a few of them in the office but would suggest finding them on Instagram so you know what we are talking about.

Vector Torches – “Colorado Bic” – The only torch that has a lifetime warranty and is the best bang for the buck. You can even find some artists that make custom pieces to add to your Vector. Color options and reliability are the two reason we have to have them in our kit. Your rig is naked until it has a Vector with it……or a built in torch tube.

Plug Uglie – Custom Jars – We have seen some art on the 420 scene and nothing compares to the jars that Sweet Stone Candy showed us at Cannaval from Caleb. The “Candy Monster” jar was fantastic and 100% custom for the company. You can check his Facebook page for all the new projects and available art. This is something for the “top shelf flower” collectors out there.

ewok glass – The man himself spoke with us about the projects at hand for the spring/summer of 13. Keeping it Gatsby is never an issue and he comes correct with every piece. From the 10mm custom “coffin” dab rig to the golf “dab & putt” piece, Ewok is taking the glass art to a new level. His boro skills are always on exhibit on his instagram as well as where to find him next. If you like contests….this is the place for you.

termini tubes – We were blessed to meet the man behind Termini Tubes, Karl, at Hoodlab before the Cannabis Cup. You can follow him on instagram to see the realness on the glass. The triple short stack that we have at the GG HQ is unbelievably smooth, timeless class, and easy to clean. We suggest you snatch up a rig before he gets stacked beyond all the orders that are coming this spring.

method seven sunglasses – Having Rare Dankness rock your shades on a grow show doesn’t happen unless you have a great product. These shades are made for halide or full spectrum and are starting to pop up around commercial gardens all over the world. We even saw Snoop Dogg in a pair at SXSW this year. Dread, from Rare Dankness, has been rocking the shades since we gave them to him for product testing…….”I can’t go in the garden without them now,” is the exact statement.

RAW Rolling Papers – Unbleached, untreated, vegan, and some wind powered operations make this paper the one of choice for 2013. The hemp movement is strong in Denver and #denverrollsraw is abundant. Burning true and keeping it Gatsby is obvious with this brand. Enjoy a raw paper, raw diet, and raw elements this spring.
