Cache Cache – Aspen
Cache Cache opened their doors to Aspen in October 1987 and for 25 years has been providing the mountain community with unpretentious but high quality food in a modern American Bistro setting. The owners, Jodi Larner and Executive Chef Chris Lanter, say that “their restaurant philosophy is based on an unrelenting emphasis on table service, wine service and the highest quality food which they have never sacrificed.”
Executive Chef Lanter took the helm at Cache Cache in August of 2000. Boasting two years of apprenticeship in three restaurants in France as his culinary schooling, Lanter established classical French Cuisine as the foundation of Cache Cache’s impressive menu, defining the restaurant as a premier modern American Bistro. The quality and freshness of ingredients are central to the quality of the food, as is Lanter’s impeccable attention to detail, and the lovely but relaxed atmosphere of the Bistro.
The menu at Cache Cache features traditional French delights such as Escargot and Calf’s liver, as well as locally sourced treats like the Tender Belly Pork Chop and Colorado Rack of Lamb. Pair these delectable offerings with one of the 5000 bottles from Cache Cache’s wine cellar, amassed by Sommelier Alex Harvier, a native of France, and cataloged in a 100 page wine lis.
