Cultivate Festival 2013
Chipotle provided one of the highlights of the weekend on Saturday, August 17th in City Park, bringing their Cultivate Festival to Denver for a second year in a row. The Fest brought people together through music, food, drinks, and ideas towards a more sustainable future. The park was packed with local Coloradan microbreweries and artisan chefs selling everything from gourmet iced tea to handcrafted caramels. The surrounding tents offered tastings of Chipotle’s locally-sourced dishes such as their signature tacos, guacamole, and a few items from their new Southeast Asian Kitchen, ShopHouse.
Aside from food and brew, Cultivate gave its attendees a taste of their sustainable and local initiative that backs their kitchens. They showed video clips of their sources’ farms and displayed an ingredient comparison of their burrito bowl to the average fast food burger – way less ingredients at Chipotle! And blasting on stage throughout the afternoon came music from Cold War Kids, Blitzen Trapper, Allen Stone, Good Old War, Air Dubai, and Chris Golub.
We hope to see them back next year for more cultivation!
