Snowboard on the Block!
Grimey Gatsby and Cathy Mulhall Photography attended one of the biggest block parties to kick-off the Fall on Saturday, September 14 at Snowboard on the Block. The party closed down several streets around 35th & Walnut to make way for bands, food trucks, sample gear sales, tattoos stands, films, boarders, and more…
Snowboard on the Block brought in 20 tons of snow for the festival’s Rail Jam, a competition between some of the country’s best snowboarders. Skateboarders also showed off their skills at the party’s halfpipe down the block. Lined up in the streets were vendors with this season’s latest snowboarding gear including Snow Sugar, a women’s fashion gear shop, and Oz Snowboards who sell ultra-light and eco-friendly boards. Alongside the sample sales, guests got inked by tattoo artists Scott Ferguson and Robert Flores from Thick as Thieves Tattoo. Rocking on the stages came music from The Kinky Fingers, Mothership, Dead Temple, The Munsens, and more. See the full lineup of bands and films.
