Iron & Wine – Denver – November 7th
Singer-songwriter Sam Beam, using the pen name Iron & Wine, has since 2002 has released three full length albums, a handful of EPs and singles. The Creek Drank the Cradle was the first album the group released followed by Our Endless Numbered Days in 2004. This is the album that signaled his arrival on the indie pop scene.
Late 2004 found the newly marketable Iron & Wine popping up on television commercials and movie soundtracks (In Good Company, Garden State), culminating in a busy 2005 that saw Beam release two EPs, the lush Woman King and In the Reins, a collaboration with Calexico. The politically charged Shepard’s Dog, Beam and company’s most diverse — and most listenable — record to date, was released in 2007. Followed by Around the Well in 2009, it was not until 2011 when Kiss Each Other Clean was released that the groups sound really expanded; The album made it to #2 on the charts. Earlier this year Iron & Wine released their newest album Ghost on Ghost a more relaxed and intimate side of Sam Beam.
It never fails that Iron & Wine succeeds in making beautiful music and the only thing better than listening to one of these albums is seeing the songs performed live! Touring all over the world, Iron & Wine finally makes their way back to Denver on November 7, 2013 at the Paramount Theater. Don’t miss out! For more information and tickets visit their website here!
