The White Wolf Gathering – Aspen 3/20-3/21

There is a great event coming up in Aspen this weekend by Gravity Experience productions called “The White Wolf Gathering” on March 20 & 21. The name comes from the ancient native legend of the White Wolf and how he watched over the Roaring Fork Valley. The hilt of the valley sits at the base of the Rocky Mountains which is now called “Aspen” and that lushish natural resting place for all creatures, animals, and hunters to gather for their circle of life ritual. Over the decades Aspen has become a place of global fashion brands, McMansions, and a transient population leaving less and less focused on the natural aspects of this gorgeous place other than to profit. Gravity Experience will be taking us back to the roots of our culture in Aspen for the weekend and we are very excited to see it happen.

Love & Light are headlining the second evening of music along with numerous painters, artists, wood workers, jewelers, local musicians, and supporters of the youthful growth and new brands from the valley. Grimey Gatsby has watched over the last 5 years as the town has been neglecting this rising culture to make way for tourist happy landscapes, new art museums, and corporate backed “co work” environments. We eventually relocated Grimey Gatsby to Denver since the lack of support and expansion for the true roots of Aspen were left in the hindsight of Peter Lik, segway tours, and the transient gluttonous consumption of the town officials and the tourists. It’s a great feeling for us to see the next generation of Aspen bringing it back to the intellectuals, creatives, and nature lovers that were flocking there in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. Where would we be today in the world without John Denver, Hunter S. Thompson, Bob Braudis, and Nicholas Devore? The legacy left behind by these forefathers are true testaments to the spirit, culture, and environment of the White Wolf. Gravity Production is carrying the torch for all of us within the creative, gonzo, and grassroots elements. The next generation of Aspenites are making waves in the township of Audi police vehicles, celebrity get aways, and ever lasting environmental consumption.

This event will SELL OUT. You can grab your two day pass off the Gravity Experience website. You can also research the event and speak with the organizers if you wish….they are more than open to hear your thoughts. The best back story to this piece is Reuben and Joey of Gravity Experience speaking at town meetings, with town officials, and the town residents to make this a reality. We have been following the story for two months. The line ups are filled with the GGFam, the spirit of this rejuvenation of culture and roots in town is much needed, and this event will be something for your memory bank of the future guaranteed. Do not miss out and we hope to see you there dressed to impress the White Wolf.
