Gravity Fridays @ Beta – 04/17
As Gravity Fridays continues to release their line ups, their talent gets more and more unique, and we are super excited to announce the Denver debut of WHAT SO NOT on 04/17/2015.
Hailing from the sandstone bedrock that is Sydney, ‘WHAT SO NOT’ set their sights on the world in 2013. One part electronica breakthrough ‘Flume’, one part Aussie all star ‘Emoh Instead’, this young duo caused quite a stir in the year gone.
Transcending genre & BPM, their highly intense live shows & sound had them Dubbed ‘Voice of the ADD generation’. ‘7 Dollar Bill’, their debut EP, was praised by; Switch, Bag Raiders, Sinden, Boys Noize & the like.
2012 also saw an onslaught of epic What So Not remixes; Gaining the attention of A-Trak, Tiga, Flosstradamus, Nero & Diplo himself, as their future bass rework of Major Lazer’s ‘GET FREE’, scored them an official 12″ Vinyl release on Mad Decent’s Downtown label.
With a years worth of unreleased original material under their belt & the who’s who of EDM dropping their tunes at every major festival around the globe, be prepared for an onslaught of unprecedented sound & live shows from ‘What So Not’
It’s safe to say that New Jersey, and specifically Newark, has not been shown in the best light in the public eye. With extremely high crime, murder and unemployment rates, NADUS seems to bring light and a positive message from within a city fighting to rise above this stigma. 22-year-old Nadus Bright, Jr is a true cultural product of his city. He’s used the negative surroundings of his upbringing to shed a positivity light from his neighborhood to global appeal.
The THREAD co-founder, Jersey Club and future bass pioneer, was co-signed as a Brick Bandits member at the young age of 15. With support from G’s like Diplo, Dirty South Joe, Sliink, Tim Dolla, it’s time for NADUS’ story of life, music, and triumph to shine Bright!!
