Mt. Eden – recap
Mt Eden has a precarious relationship with the city of Denver. With that said, Beta was on fire last night with sounds of this notorious duo, DJ’s Jesse Cooper and Harley Raymer, that hail from New Zealand.
We’ve caught these dudes twice in the past year. And multiple other times over the years. And every time it’s better then the last. Emotions were high as they kept cranking out massive tunes that made the whole floor shake. People were so hyped they were jumping for the roof to the sound of Mt Eden. At one point Jesse Cooper traded his custom Mt Eden snap back with one loyal fan’s LRG snapback. The crowd reacted to this with huge positive feedback. Every time we’ve seen their performance it’s always been a deep connection between the DJ’s and the crowd. We’ll tell you one thing though that those dudes love themselves some Grey Goose vodka! As they slammed shots the whole time they played. And still managing to keep DJing without skipping a beat or trainwrecking is pretty damn impressive if you ask us.
Our highlight of the night was the drop of their most famous tube called “Sierra Leone.” This is probably one of thier most famous tracks. Heavy basslines and the melodic sounds of feshly ground’s “I’d like” to give it that proper sounding dubstep flow that we all love. And because this is such an amazing show we can’t wait for the next time the deadly duo known as Mt Eden rolls through our town. We will be there without hesitation that’s for damn sure! This is why we love our city and will continue to support.
