Smoky Bare – recap
This past week we had the pleasure of covering media for one of the homies, local artist and fam to GG, Smoky Bare. The venue was no other then Cervantes other side in downtown Denver. This show was to be Smoky Bare’s last show for the year in Denver so we had to support and check it out! Last time we caught Smoky was the night he opened for Berner which was also played on the Other Side of Cervantes.
We arrived at the other side right as Smoky Bare’s roommate went on. I wasted no time getting media coverage. His roommate whipped out a saxophone! Hip hop mixed with a Saxophone made for quite the original sound. He played for a few minutes before Smoky Bare took over the stage. And man be came out swinging! As you know Smoky writes all his own beats and lyrics so it’s 100 percent original material. He didn’t have a very long time slot to play but he still killed it! As always it’s been a pleasure hanging out with the homies and supporting them. After his set we went over and chilled with him in his merchandise booth and caught up for a few mins. He gave me a t-shirt to take with me when I left. I was beyond stoked for this cause the Smoky Bare graphic is proper! I wouldn’t mind having a piece of hip hop history. Great night of local talent, can’t wait for the next one!
