Rad Lodging in Rad Locations – Ski Bum’s Budget
Winter is coming on strong with a massive storm about to hit the west coast, and colder temperatures and precipitation sweeping across the Rocky Mountains. That means its time to start planning your ski trips. Take a couple days or a couple weeks to satisfy your craving for pow. Here is a list of spots that every ski bum should check out.
The Hostel, Jackson Hole, WY
By far, The Hostel is the most affordable place to crash at the resort. Dorm beds start at $20 and $34 a night during the respective low and high seasons. A recently boosted Wifi, plenty of ski lockers and a place to tune your gear, as well as a pool table and game room keep everyone happy when they’re not shredding the incredible terrain at Jackson.

With very affordable dorm beds and the exchange rate in your favor (if you’re coming from the US), free bus transportation, Wifi and a rocking pub and a restaurant on site the Hi-Banff Alpine Center is good place to post up as the snow flies.
Fireside Inn, Breckenridge, CO
Smack dab in the middle of the historic district in Breckenridge, the Fireside Inn is just a short walk to the Gondola and downtown Breck. Serving as both a hostel and a B&B, it is a great place for families and ski bums alike.
