Last year Vermonters witnessed an excess of cold smoke powder days. While California and the northwest suffered from lack of snow, Vermont boasted one of the best winters in recent memory.
This year, the transition into winter has been much slower. With erratic snowfall and high temperatures, ski season has yet to take hold in the green mountains.
However, the late arrival of winter has afforded other opportunities.
From late season climbs to long trail runs to picturesque ski tours, fall and early winter on the east coast have been incredible.
