CB Freeride recap
The 25th year of the Crested Butte Freeride Championships went off this past weekend! Skiers and riders from around the country showed up to push themselves and progress the sport in CB’s rowdy terrain.
As a Freeride World Qualifier event, athletes do their best to accumulate points towards a spot on the Freeride World Tour. Over three days both 2* and 4* events gave athletes, with varying competition backgrounds, a chance to compete.
The weekend kicked off with the 2* event on Hawk’s Nest. Day one of the 4* took place on Headwall and finals on Sock-it-to-me. While none of these venues had anything close to pow, competitors were able to tear it up in the chalky conditions.
Full results below.
Here’s to another 25 years of the Crested Butte Extremes!
