420 recap – Wu Tang Denver
What A huge successful 420 this past week has been With all the concerts and events that we attended. The 420 event at Cervantes was one of our main focuses for the night. Both the Masterpiece Ballroom and the Otherside had amazing artists booked for this night. On the Otherside was hip hop artist Zion I and Evidence and on the Masterpiece Ballroom side it was packed to the doors with Method Man, Redman, Ghostface, Raekwon, MJG and 8Ball an all stacked line up for the 420 festivities.
I feel like this year it was way more relaxed than last year. And by relaxed I mean not being harassed by security every single time you tried to smoke. Last year it was quite annoying, no one wanted to be at a cannabis themed event and not be able to smoke freely. This was not even an issue this year. Matter of fact as soon as we entered the building there was a thick cloud hovering over the whole entire crowd. We would be liars if we said that we didn’t participate. The openers did a hell of a job like always and did not hold back. I couldn’t tell you exactly how awesome this show really was, you would have had to be there to fully experience it. But I can tell you with Method Man, Redman, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, MJG, 8Ball and Streetlife did not let us down on this 420 evening. We heard a lot of variety coming from all these artists that I mentioned. I mean we heard a couple of classics from Redman to rock the house. Ghostface came out swinging with mighty healthy, Bring da ruckas and Raekwon had to drop that Criminolgy track for that ass. And to top off the night Method Man did his infamous stage dive into the crowd while playing m.e.t.h.o.d.m.a.n., it was way too lit.
What excellent week filled with lots of events and activities to go along with the theme of 420. We had an extra busy week like every year around this time. But we had to much fun hanging with the homies and running back and forth from Breckenridge to Denver. This could have been the best 420 week ever, see you next year Colorado!
