Mobb Deep – recap

This show was by far one of the top favorite events for us to cover! Cervantes was packed and so were the bowls and the spliffs as they were sparked and passed as we nodded our heads to some premium hip hop! Last year still tops it though cause one of the homies opened for them, that was Izm White who just recently got signed to Tommy Boy records. But this doesn’t mean that this show wasn’t still off the chains, with support from Your Old Droog, hip hop artist from Brooklyn.

We had to make sure we got there a little bit earlier then normal to check in and check some of the opening acts besides Your Old Droog and Mobb Deep. Your Old Droog was probably the favorite of the night only because he doesn’t come out to Denver as much as Mobb Deep. He kinda sounds like Nas so whats not to like about the dude. Two artists from New York doesn’t get any better and his set was nothing less awesome from start to finish. Mobb deep went all the way in though straight up! They dropped a few classics such as “the realest, win or lose” and a few others. Even heard a few new tunes that they were working on. Ended up being a pretty radical evenin  and Mobb Deep had just released a newer album in 2014 titled the infamous Mobb Deep which is the eighth studio album by American hip hop duo composed of Havoc and Prodigy. And Prodigy also just released new music on an underground independent website. The future is looking bright for Mobb Deep and their solo projects. I know we will always support the group as they progress into the upcoming years. Until next time G’s!
