Jadakiss – Recap
We just keep cranking out that grime! This time we got it right with Jadakiss at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom. It’s been a minute since we’ve caught the D block homie in the mile high city. If any of you have been living under a rock for the last couple years, Jadakiss is a Def Jam hip hop rap producer from the streets of new York. It has been a long journey for the homie, pretty sure he has been on the scene for over two decades, more than twenty five years that’s for damn sure. I just remember his music coming out when I was still in middle school. I’m glad to see he is still getting the support he deserves, even fast forwarded twenty some years later.
As soon as we entered the building we heard Jadakiss already rocking the stage, this was a sign that the show was going to be short. With that said we wasted no time getting right down to business. At first when we tried to do our normal routine and head back stage to the media section and green room. We were told by security we could not enter because our press pass was the wrong color, it was a yellow one, he said in order to get back here by request from Jadakiss’s people you have to have a black press pass. At this point we have covered so many shows for Cervantes the fix was a easy two minutes back at the box office. Finally, got back stage to start shooting some pictures. By this time the show was almost over because it was a weekday. But we caught a few songs by Jadakiss before we had to bounce. You know he had to play one of his most famous songs, he left the stage with a memorable performance of WHY.
As we are leaving the venue we exit the doors and look back and up at the infamous Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom sign and it reads Jadakiss 5/1 and Jay electronica 5/5. See you in four days Cervantes!
