Cabrillo National Monument and Park- San Diego
Fell asleep on a flight around 7am from Denver this morning and woke up in The Classy San Diego for a long weekend! The plan for the morning was to grab some donuts from a tasty spot we know of and head to the Cabrillo National Monument/ National park located on the tip of Point Loma Peninsula. It usually $10 per car but lucky for us, we copped a national parks pass this year so we just cruised right by flashing the card to the ranger.
Rolling up through the park, there’s views of the bay and San Diego skyline on one side and on the other, there’s the steep cliffs and the beautiful ocean making waves. We jumped out of the car to explore the tide pools but the water was too high at that point of the day to really find any crabs or starfish so we decided to venture around the cliffs and watch the waves crash against them repeatedly. It’s time to grab a few beers and hit the Beach!
