Sizzla – Recap

Denver has seriously been spoiled the last couple of weeks with all these awesome reggae artist and dub producers coming to town. This past week the reggae legend Sizzla graced us with his presence at Cervantes masterpiece ballroom. Sizzla’s reputation and legendary status is all the way up there with Bob Marley or Lee “Scratch” Perry or the late Buju Banton. One of our top 5 reggae artists of all time.

If you have ever been to Sizzla show you already know that he goes hard and doesn’t hold back one bit. So much energy and emotions are put into his shows and you can tell by the performance and the facial expressions of not only Sizzla but the rest of the band. Cervantes was completely packed back to the entrance door and that is beyond expected like I said it’s Sizzla! Such an amazing night of original dance hall reggae for the crowd to skank the night away! Yet overall, his music is positive, advocating faith and compassion for poor black youth, and respect for women he still ranked as arguably the most popular conscious reggae artist of his time.
