Over the past weekend, we decided we needed to get our hearts racing and huck ourselves out of a plane at 13,000 feet. We had a nice little drive through the desert from Phoenix, south toward Tucson about an hour or so, then you pull into a tiny skydiving town. Fully equipped with a restaurant, and giant viewing areas right next to the landing space. We’re there to fall out of the sky!
Everyone there was all geared out in wingsuits and neon jumpsuits, with their GoPros prepped and ready, and rolling up their recently opened parachutes for the next jump. We spent some time watching the skies, people rolling out of the planes getting into formation, students running through their certification courses, a really great place to spend some time on the ground before you get up in the air.
All harnessed up, loaded into the plane, and we started climbing to 13,000 feet, thats when you start to feel your nerves taking over. Your only thoughts are STOKED AS FUCK, here we go! Thats when the doors open up and people start diving out after their final checks. Now it was our turn, One after the other, we start flipping out the door and once you hit that free fall at 120 mph and it is the best feeling in the world. Nothing between you and the ground besides a bunch of air, then out of nowhere, the parachute opens up and now you have the best view of the valley floor before you touch down in front of the entire facility. Flipping out planes is by far one of the best feelings in life, it won’t be long till we go after that Solo Jump Certificate.
