Beatnuts & Big Pooh – Denver recap
What a amazing night for hip hop when The Beatnuts and Rapper Big Pooh came thru Denver just recently. Cervantes brings the heat no matter if it’s in the Masterpiece Ballroom or on The Other Side; it’s always lit and their ticket prices are reasonable. We’ve been lucky enough to work with Cervantes over the years to bring you exclusive access and media coverage of all these amazing shows.
Terminology didn’t waste time getting the party started and warming the crowd up with them heart pounding head nodding original sounding hip hop beats. Even though Terminology wasn’t a headliner for this show doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve any less credit than any of the headliners. Dude is a G for sure!! And of course little brother member Rapper Big Pooh absolutely killed it like always! Not even a few months ago Rapper Big Pooh was in Denver at Cervantes but on the Masterpiece Ballroom side. Denver loves them some a Rapper Big Pooh and it definitely showed with the crowd that showed up and was singing the lyrics alongside Big Pooh as he spat them out into the microphone.
The Beatnuts were definitely the crowd favorite though hands down. Only the true hip hop heads that were in the building this night knew what was going down. This hip hop duo has been a favorite amongst of the staff for a good bit now and was anxious to see them playing a show because it had been awhile since we heard the words JuJu or Psycho Les. First few songs started out a little rocky but they just needed to warm up a little bit. Juju blames the alcohol as he says he is completely sober and tells the crowd as they laugh it off with him as the first song had to be rewound and started again cause he wasn’t on his mark. Denver has mad love for the Beatnuts so we didn’t trip. The rest of the show was dope as shit though and everyone seemed to enjoy the show and the merchandise booths from the artists. Can’t wait to see all you hip hop heads at the next show at Cervantes.
