THURSDAY – Denver Recap
Since recent teaming up with Soda Jerk Presents in 2017, it has been nothing but awesome! This time we were at the Summit Music Hall to bring you exclusive access and substantial media content of post hardcore band Thursday!
Thursday is one of the most influential most original progressive band I’ve seen come out of the late 90s. Producing multiple albums from the time of the late 90s until present day, these guys have still been killing the scene and doesn’t look like they will stop anytime soon. Denver was lucky enough to be graced with the presence of this fucking awesome band at the last Monday. Things wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t cover the grime and produce some killer content. With a stop at the Summit Music Hall and support from Touche Amore, Basement, Cities Aviv this show was guaranteed to sell out and be absolutely insane, and it was!
All opening bands had big shoes to fill considering they were opening for one of the most popular bands in North America. Every single one of them knew what they were doing and brought what they needed to the table and filled those shoes quite nicely. BUT let’s be honest here, the main focus was Thursday hands down! There was a wild variety of songs they chose to play that ranged from some of their best musical work. To many songs to mention but the ones worth mentioning were “5,4,3,2,1, Understanding in a car crash, Autobiography of a nation, Cross out the eye’s” and so many more. The dudes are a bunch of really talented group of individuals and will continue to support the music they produce. The city of Denver loves you Thursday and will continue to see your shows when you come to the mile high!
