The Underachievers – 4/21 recap
The Underachievers returned to the mile high for this years 420 event held by no other than Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom. You are almost guaranteed to see certain artists in the month of April the or the week of 420 or on the actual day of April 20th, TheUnderachievers are usually one on that list. This year they headlined their own show on the 21st of April which kept the 420 festivities continuing into the weekend.
Brooklyn’s Beast Coast movement has been on the rise for years now and these two Flatbush natives represent it with full effect. Every time they play live you can see it in their performance. We were lucky enough here in Denver to have them come thru again for the 420 festivities this year as well as some of the previous years. The crowd always responds well to whatever The Underachievers have up their sleeves, they typically go nuts when any of the Indigoism tracks are dropped as this album is the one that got the most exposure and is our personal favorite. Cervantes jumped around, moshed and screamed the lyrics of most of these tracks. The ones that were the most hyped up that night were “herb shuttles, 6th sense, never win and Fake Fans.” It Ended up being a killer show and we are stoked to see these dudes explode they way they have over the years and putting Brooklyn on the map. We’ve been following them since 2013 and its been a long journey for these dudes. Keep on cruishing it and we will keep supporting brooklyns finest.
