Medium Rare- Campfire Treats
This week, we decide to make our way to the outskirts of Summit County for a few days of camping, hiking, dabbing and of course, making delicious foods using the most basic form of cooking. The whole house is out for this trip with all the pups loaded into the jeep, cooler full of Costco Mac n Cheese, just waiting to be smoked by the campfire, bacon wrapped dates stuffed with cream cheese and of course all the fixings for the tastiest Moscow Mules the woods has ever seen. Setting up camp, you already know we have the torches blazing, terps being all globby with the sun shining off the crystals, its going to be an epic two days in the wilderness. We set up camp next to a little lake and brought out the goods, our own prep table, the cutting boards and tools needed to fuck this fire pit up. Getting the fire all prepped over a few more fatty globs. With the lake and the rumbling clouds in the background, created a perfect backdrop for a couple days off! After we demolish dinner, its on to dessert… The go to is a S’mores Casserole with layers of gooey melted chocolate, stuffed full of sticky marshmallows and to end it with cinnamon graham crackers as your dippers. If you haven’t cooked one of these in a cast iron skillet, you’re doing something wrong!
