FIFA World Cup predictions
Now before we begin, this article is not intended to describe every Group and every team in detail. These are our 2018 World Cup Predictions based on the extensive research and futbol knowledge of our experts.
With the World’s Biggest Sporting event kicking off in less then 48 hours, we here at Grimey Gatsby are here to help you, the typical American sports fan with little to no knowledge of futbol aka “soccer”. So without further a due here is what you should expect as far as Group Winners/Dark Horses and eventual World Champion are concerned.
Dark Horse to win it all: Portugal. Coming off a 2016 European Championship, the Portuguese led by legendary Cristiano Ronaldo are one of the best in form teams in the world right now. With a mixture of youth and veteran presence don’t be surprised to see the Portuguese in the Final.

These are our predictions as far as the group stage goes. Couple surprises here as we have Serbia escaping to go onto the round of 16 after surviving Group E aka the “group of death”, as we seem to have every World Cup. As well as Iceland moving on to the round of 16, in a bit of a shocker.

Winner: Brazil
There you have it our predictions for the 2018 World Cup!!! Brazil is the most complete and exciting team in the world. They are back to playing that flashy and fun style of ball we all know and love Brazil for.
Again, these are just our predictions and anything can happen in this years World Cup due to the amount of immense talent worldwide on each team. Til the 2022 World Cup I bid you farewell my fellow futbol lovers. 2026 North America has been named the location for the World Cup and we are stoked to see the games come back to our cities!!!!
